This customer was in need of a sump pump upgrade so we delivered - in the form of a SuperSump pump system with a cast iron pump, capable of pumping up to 2,300 gallons per hour, a heavy-duty liner with an airtight lid that keeps moisture and critters from coming up into the basement, and a WaterWatch Alarm system which alerts you if the water in your sump gets higher than the point where the pump should turn on, giving you time to address the problem before damage occurs.
Another wise choice by this homeower was our SaniDry Sedona, lovingly referred to as the “Pint-Sized Powerhouse” for its high performance and high efficiency. Small enough to fit in a crawlspace, powerful enough to pull 100 pints of moisture out of the air per day and to move 300 cubic feet per minute (yup, I said minute) of that dry air around your space, and by way of a discharge hose, it automatically drains into your sump system. A true set it and forget it! As an added bonus, the SaniDry’s “duet” filter removes airborne allergens like mold spores, dust and the #1 offender, dust mite droppings!
Although not at all hard on the eyes, this small giant can be tucked away out of site and vented with ductwork into the rooms of your choosing.
Move over store-bought dehumidifiers. You don’t stand a chance against a Sedona!!
Water and mold destroyed this bathroom. After dealing with the source of the mold by installing waterproofing system, we renovated this horrible bathroom into a new, clean, and dry space for the customer to enjoy. In the process, we used inorganic materials so that there would be no chance of the mold coming back.
This basement was getting wet during storms which made the drywall and carpet moldy. Drywall and carpet are made of organic materials so they easily get destroyed by water and mold damage. The smell was noticeable and something had to be done.
Basement Systems USA, Inc. went in and first removed the carpet and the bottom of the moldy drywall and did some mold remediation. The next step was to install the WaterGuard drainage system around the perimeter so that the basement would no longer leak. The WaterGuard was connected to one of our SuperSump Systems which include a battery back-up pump so that the water can be pumped out even during power failures.
Once the basement is mold-free and no longer in danger from water seepage, we could start putting things back together. But we would never use organic materials like drywall or carpet to repair the basement. A special waterproof and inorganic wallboard called Everlast Walls was used to make the basement look beautiful again. Everlast Walls is made of nonorganic material and is guaranteed for 50 years against water and mold damage. We also used a special waterproof wood-look flooring so that there would be no danger of water damage.
The result is easy to see. The basement is not only dry and looks amazing, it has been repaired with the right building materials so that there is no chance of water or mold damage in the future. Another job done right.
These are before and after pictures of a church that had such a bad moisture problem in their crawlspace that rot destroyed the floor. The whole floor had to be removed, but before replacing it, the owners were smart enough to call Basement Systems USA to install a new CleanSpace system, complete with a SuperSump and SaniDry Dehumidifier so the new floor would be protected.
