The homeowner's basement flooding put utilities and personal belongings at risk of damage.
This crawl space had the potential to be an excellent space for storage. However, due to water seepage, utilities were at risk of getting damaged and the space could not be used to stored personal items. The homeowner was tired of the annoying cleanup process and musty odors associated with crawl space leaks and flooding.
The homeowner was concerned with the dampness in the basement and decided to contact EFS for a free inspection.
The old sump pump in the crawl space was unable to remove water, putting the crawl space in jeopardy. Besides flooding, the lack of a lid further exposes the crawl space to moisture, which can foster mold growth, musty smells, and wood rot.
The homeowner's basement experienced severe flooding, which damaged personal items and endangered the utilities.
The crawlspace was damp and dirty before encapsulation.
The team removed the supports installed by the other contractor and any other debris that would impede them.
WaterGuard is strategically installed along the basement perimeter to intercept water before it infiltrates the basement area. This advanced interior drainage system is positioned beneath the basement floor surface and secured with concrete following rigorous flood testing. Subsequently, WaterGuard channels the captured water to the sump pump, facilitating efficient removal from the property.
