Water marks on the basement floor from water entering the wall.
Water entered the basement through foundation cracks, creating an annoying cleanup process and exposing the basement to potential flooding.
In order for WaterGuard to be installed, the lower portion of the drywall in the basement needs to be removed. This allows access to the perimeter of the foundation wall, which is chipped out so WaterGuard can be put in place.
This is where we will vent our Radon Mitigation System.
Water consistently seeped through the foundation wall behind the drywall, subjecting the garage to high humidity, mold growth, and water infiltration into the basement. To ensure a healthier and more protected garage environment, a comprehensive waterproofing solution was imperative.
An extraction point was made in the foundation floor of the home and PVC pipe was fit to it. This allows for radon to be guided from underneath the home's foundation and outside of the home.
To start work on the project, we created an extraction point in the basement floor. PVC pipe was then fit to the extraction point and cored through the foundation wall to the exterior of the home. This was done to extract radon from underneath the home's foundation and remove it from the vicinity of the home.
This crack in the basement was allowing water to enter.
