Attic Insulation in Rock Hall, MD

Jerry’s home was not that comfortable.  He had recently upgraded his HVAC equipment to help heat and cool the home and wanted to make sure he was reaping the most benefits possible. (Upgrading your equipment won’t necessarily solve your problem if you are losing conditioned air to the exterior of your home envelope.)

We noticed some accent features (what we label as adjacent attic walls) in his ceiling that had less insulation than other areas.  On top of that his whole attic really needed more insulation and to be air sealed to decrease conditioned air (heated/cooled air you are paying for) escaping from the home.  Jerry also had a significant amount of duct work in the attic, so on top of his other improvements, we increased the efficiency and effectiveness by covering them in closed cell spray foam.

Dryer Duct Clean out in Grasonville, MD

Homeowner's in Grasonville, MD., needed to have their ducts cleaned. Homeowner's tend to forget about the other aspects of their home because they don't see them every day comapred to the other rooms in their home.

In a six room home, up to 40 pounds of dust is created every day. The dust is pulled into the HVAC system and re-circulated 5-7 times per day. This ongoing process creates contaminants in the duct work. This can cause allergies, asthma and other respiratory problems.

To solve this problem, Dr. Energy Saver Delmarva will clean and aeroseal the duct work to prevent future leakage.

The process begins by a camera being lowered into the duct work. The camera shows live video footage of how the ducts look. This determines if the ducts need to be cleaned or not. Next, the registers are taken off to be cleaned. Then, the duct work is cleaned with a 360 circular rotating brush called the Rotobrush. This brush cleans every angle of the duct work thoroughly. The dust and dirt is then collected into a vacuum. Finally, the duct work is treated with an antimicrobial treatment.

Crawl Space Encapsulation in Queenstown, MD

Homeowners in Queenstown, MD contacted Dr. Energy Saver Delmarva because they had concerns about the consistently wet condition of their crawl space. In order to correct the problem and prevent any further water damage the production crew installed a drainage system around the perimeter of the crawl space. The drainage system will collect and carry water to the SmartSump removing it from the crawl space. After installing the drainage system the crew encapsulated the crawl space complete with CleanSpace liner on the floor and SilverGlo rigid foam board insulation on the walls with spray foam air sealing in the rim joists.

Improving Indoor Air Quality inside of a home in Oxford, Maryland

Homeowner in Oxford, Maryland wanted to improve his crawlspace conditions. He noticed the abrupt climate change when he looked inside of his crawl space and knew it was time to do something about it. He called out Dr. Energy Saver who came out and inspected the crawlspace finding multiple reasons why the homeowner were not very satisfied with his current crawlspace conditions.

Dr. Energy Saver came out and encapsulated their crawlspace. By removing the previous damp insulation , spray foaming the rim joist which will reduce heat loss and infiltration of cold air, adding CleanSpace with SilverGlo on the walls which lowers the humidity levels, a Sedona dehumidifier, and finishing it up with our patent EverLast CrawlSpace Door.

Overall, this lowers the humidity inside of the crawlspace, much warmer floors in the winter, and lowers fuel and electric bills!
