Basement & Crawlspace Mitigation in Boise, ID
Basement Mitigation in Eagle, ID
Idaho Radon was contracted by the sellers of a property recently placed under contract. During the home inspection phase, the buyers conducted a radon test, which revealed elevated radon levels exceeding 4.0 pCi/L.
Upon being contacted by the sellers on a Thursday, Idaho Radon promptly assessed the property on Friday and completed the radon mitigation service the following Tuesday. The mitigation process included installing a 2,400-square-foot radon barrier to fully encapsulate the crawl space. A radon mitigation fan was strategically placed in the garage, with venting routed through the attic and exiting via a roof jack to ensure effective ventilation.
Idaho Radon installed an active depressurization system for a residence in Idaho City. Attached are a before and after picture of the exterior of the system.
The project commenced in the latter half of 2024 with radon testing conducted in one of the five buildings at Shadow Mountain Apartments in Idaho City. Following initial resident-conducted testing, the scope was expanded to include all five buildings to verify the findings. The results confirmed that each building exhibited elevated radon levels exceeding 4.0 pCi/L.
To address this issue, a dedicated mitigation system was installed for each building, incorporating a 6-mil vapor barrier. Fans were strategically positioned at the rear corners of the buildings to minimize both visual and auditory impact.
The project was successfully completed within 2.5 days by a two-person team. During the installation process, management was also informed of observed water leaks and structural concerns. Electrical connections for the fans were performed by a qualified electrician hired by the client.
