In Cedar Falls, IA, we recently tackled a "double whammy" of structural instability and basement flooding. Under the guidance of System Design Specialist Jacob Oetzman and Foreman Brian Lopez, we implemented a comprehensive solution to restore this home’s health.

Our team installed the PowerBrace system, utilizing zinc-plated steel beams to stop wall bowing in its tracks, alongside WaterGuard drainage to intercept intruding water. To ensure a long-term, dry environment, we finished the space with a CleanSpace liner. The result? A stabilized foundation and a basement that is officially a "no-swim" zone.

WaterGuard is a piping system engineered to solve basement water problems effectively without worry of clogging from soils under the floor. It has large holes in the back to accept water and a flange with special segments. The WaterGuard System intercepts water at the perimeter of your basement and drains it unseen safely away. WaterGuard along with other products will keep your basement clean and dry so you can use the space for storage, or recreation purposes.

The TripleSafe Sump Pump is a three-pump sump pump system that is guaranteed to keep your basement dry. Three pumps run even if one fails to make sure that the water in your basement never reaches over the sump pump pit. The TripleSafe sump pump also comes with a battery back-up just in case you ever lose power, in which case the TripleSafe sump pump will continues to run as it is supposed to. Along with the battery back up the TripleSafe sump pump also comes with a WaterWatch alarm. The WaterWatch alarm is placed in the top of the sump pump, it holds a water sensor that will sound when the water in the sump pump reaches a level that the alarm thinks is too high. The TripleSafe sump pump is a great addition to have in any home to keep any space dry.

Irene had an older sump pump placed in her basement many years ago. During the last large rain fall, her sump quit working and flooded her basement.
