Bruce B. in Wells, Maine wanted a radon mitigation system that would not only perform well but also maintain the appearance of the home. Having seen similar installations in the neighborhood, the goal was to follow a proven design while incorporating additional upgrades for a cleaner exterior look.
The system was installed using a layout similar to other successful systems in the area, but this project included an Exterior Aesthetic Package, which required more precise routing and tighter installation conditions to keep the finished product looking clean and professional. Additional piping was used to properly position the fan and venting system, while strategic crack sealing was completed to help improve system performance and reduce radon entry through foundation openings.
The installation also included a radon system muffler to help minimize operating noise and provide a quieter homeowner experience.
By combining effective mitigation techniques with thoughtful aesthetics, Bruce received a system designed to protect the home while blending in as seamlessly as possible.

Before:
Gregg’s home tested at 10 pCi/L, above the EPA recommended action level. The layout made this a great candidate for a straightforward install, with a clear path in the rear left corner of the basement and an outlet conveniently located nearby.
During:
We installed a sub-slab depressurization system, placing the system in the rear left corner and venting out through the side of the home. With the outlet close by, electrical was simple and clean, helping keep the install efficient and unobtrusive.
We also included a fan guard moisture kit for long-term durability and completed water quality and radon water testing for added peace of mind.
After:
Gregg reported that everything went great, and his radon levels are already dropping, showing the system is doing exactly what it’s designed to do.
