In North Yarmouth, ME, a homeowner reached out to Maine Radon and Water Treatment after a radon test revealed a level of 16—well above the recommended action level. With an existing passive system in place, they chose MR for their expertise in activating and upgrading these systems. Our team assessed the setup, reconfigured the PVC to fit a premium RP-145 fan, and completed a clean roof penetration to vent radon safely out of the home. The fan was installed in the attic and prepped for electrical hookup by the homeowner. Now the system is ready to help reduce radon levels and improve indoor air quality. If you have a passive system that may not be doing enough, it might be time to get it activated—reach out to Maine Radon and Water Treatment for a professional evaluation.
This job was a unique one. This house was right on the oceanfront and when high tide occurs the basement floods. This basement had current radon mitigation system with 2 extraction points however with the installation of several sump pumps and water guard drainage system it was allowing the radon gasses up through these areas. The water guard could not be sealed due to the amount of water that come in. So we chose installing an erv as the next best choice. This erv we added a damper on the stale air so we can create positive pressure which will reduce the radon levels in this home.
This install we had to use multiple extraction points due to additions on the property we topped off the install with a premium low voltage fan and a fan moisture guard. Another happy client

In Cape Elizabeth, Maine, a homeowner with radon levels of 8 to 12 pCi/L sought our help to ensure their home’s safety. They chose our services for our expertise and reputation. We used an existing stub-out at the front of the house to avoid drilling through floor joists, routed PVC around the exterior, and positioned the fan near the cable box. Despite space limitations for core drilling, we utilized the right tools and equipment to complete the installation. Post-installation testing showed radon levels reduced to 1.3 pCi/L.
