This was an old house with an unfinished basement and the client still wanted to have active-passive protection at home from radon. They moved into this home a year ago and they are slowly fixing things. She recommended her daughter's home have one installed too since she was happy with everything.
This customer was annoyed and had been complaining with the noise level of their old radon fan. Turns out the location they wanted was next to a bedroom. There is almost no insulation behind their siding, so if the pipe even comes close to the house, there is a vibration/noise. We explained to them how it was and was very disappointed with the previous mitigation company they worked with. We drafted a plan where the team managed to strap the pipe above the fan with J hooks to help with the noise. It was a nice experience since customer has knowledge in construction he had better hooks provided - he didn't ask for a discount either which was cool. Everything went well and he was happy!
This lovely couple wanted to start 2023 with a healthy environment and don't want radon to be present at home. They called for our professional help and we have discussed the ideal set-up for their home. They were happy about it!
The health risk of radon was not a joke for this family, and they decided to get their own protection by installing a radon mitigation system. They requested if it could be installed, showing it at the back of their home. The team was able to draft an initial design for them and they really liked it. Installation went smoothly!
This was a challenging install as the home had an inaccessible crawlspace. What the team did was to install next to the stairs going through the utility room and run out to the back door. The client was none too picky how the radon mitigation system will be installed as long as it should work as intended.
