This school's gym radon tested around 3 times for the owner to convince himself that it really needs to have a mitigation system. There's a system on the main school building and a second one that looks like it goes into the ground outside the storm shelter. The team decided to place the fan on the backside of the shelter and have it elevated closer to the roof. In that way it reaches the outlet for power. This was a challenge as it took a long to figure out how to arrange the structure of the system without adjusting any other infrastructure piping. Nevertheless, the installation was a success! Team never felt better!
This client was very pleasant to talk to and is about 60 years old. She has her kids and grandchildren living in one roof. Her husband works in sales and from her story, is still eager to provide for the whole family despite age. The funny moment about this project was the client didn't realize she had a dirt crawlspace - sized at 30'x35' and separated down the middle by a poured wall with an opening cut out. We arranged a crawlspace encapsulation and client agreed to cover costs. She was concerned about the indoor air health so this is one move she didn't realize could help their home.
This client had health concerns and found out about the effects of high radon exposure. She is worried it might have affected her whole home so had done a test and returned with levels of 6. It's a mid-size home with big windows. Client was really eager to know how the installation process is and we drafted the plan along with explaining everything to her. She was happy how it won't be an issue with aesthetics. Everything went well!
Randy and his wife recently bought house from his mom. The basement is about half finished. They did a radon test and returned with levels of 15 and scared of possible future health concerns. Installation started with an extraction point in concrete shower and second point 12' away along back wall. Connected two points below electrical panel and above faucet. Exit home through rim joist that is above second point, 18' from corner of house. Route up and around soffit. Install domed lid in back corner and 20x25 Breathe EZ (additional protection). Everything went well!
This client, a family of four, had been feeling uneasy about their home's air quality. They feel sick for a few weeks now and it feels like the air is suffocating them. They contacted us for help and a radon test confirmed their fears. Their results were 11 pCi/L. After a free estimate, they got a professional installation, bringing peace of mind and a healthier living environment for the whole family. Everything is worth the penny when it comes to health!
