This was a straightforward and simple client that wanted a radon mitigation system installed regardless how it would look or be placed in his home. He tested twice and wasn't really happy with the results. It was an old house with an inaccessible crawlspace under that used to be a porch that was turned into a finished space. The installation process was smooth.
This home was like an antique that you see in movies and the homeowner wants to have the ERV installed in the basement. The basement is an old cellar, likely original dirty-like floor and some of the crawlspace areas weren't really accessible to seal going to the ERV route. Her radon levels were ticked up so that brought the concern for this. The team was able to figure a route near the HVAC system and there was an outlet so everything worked out the way it should be.
This family needed an active passive system to protect their health and home. They have been watching the news and radon exposure was becoming evident as it results to lung cancer if left unmitigated. They made the decision to get a radon mitigation installation from Radon Defense Midwest.
