This homeowner in Dover, New Hampshire has a fully finished basement and was concerned about the radon levels in the basement. They want to have clean air in the basement so they don't have to worry about the air they breathe down there. When a radon test was taken, their levels came back as 10-11 pCi/l. These levels are considered above normal and should be brought down to below 4 pCi/l.
The homeowner's called Erickson Foundation Supportworks to see about installing a Radon Mitigation System. Paul Magowan is a Design Specialist at Erickson Foundation Supportworks; he was able to come out to the homeowner's home and look at the options of installing a Radon System. Paul designed a system for their home and then passed his design to the Crew Lead for this project, Scott Crandall. Scott and his team were able to successfully install the Radon System into the homeowner's home. By doing so they reduced the radon levels to below 4pCi/l.
Overall the homeowners were happy with their radon system installation.

A homeowner in Dover, New Hampshire, had a passive system installed in the home. The homeowners received mail that said they were giving a free radon test because of Radon Awareness Month. The homeowner filled out the paperwork and was sent a free radon test. The homeowner set up the radon test and the results came back between 8.4 and 10.6 pCi/L. Our design specialist recommended installing a radon fan on their passive radon system.

It's important to test and install the radon vent pipe in the most suitable location. The air flow must be strong and ideally the pipe is not an unpleasant sight in the basement or on the exterior of the house. This before and after shows the pipe cleanly installed in the basement.
A homeowner in Salem, MA recently detected radon gas levels of 5 pCi/L in their home, surpassing the Environmental Protection Agency’s recommended threshold for installing a radon mitigation system. Radon, a hazardous gas originating from the soil beneath a home’s foundation, can infiltrate basements and pose serious health risks, including respiratory issues and lung cancer. Concerned for their family’s well-being, especially given the significant time spent in their finished basement, the homeowner reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions. We promptly installed a radon mitigation system and sealed all cracks and cold joints, effectively preventing radon intrusion. Now, the homeowner can have peace of mind knowing their family is safeguarded from the dangers of radon gas.
