Interior French Drain Installation in Chelmsford, MA

A homeowner in Chelmsford, Massachusetts already had one of our sump pumps installed. We had previously suggested installing perimeter drainage in order to direct the high amount of water surrounding her foundation to the sump pump. Due to certain circumstances, the homeowner opted to just have the sump pump put in at the time. Although the sump pump system is working, she now chose to install the perimeter drainage to fully optimize her waterproofing system.

We recommended installing WaterGuard perimeter drainage and CleanSpace vapor barrier to fully protect the basement. CleanSpace was applied to the walls to prevent moisture and humidity. This encapsulation system filters any moisture to the WaterGuard system. Even though the sump pump was already installed, WaterGuard is still able to be connected to it. This system sits within crushed stone and is cemented in place once installed to ensure proper flow.

After installation, our crew tested the system by pouring water into it. After seeing the system work properly, the crew met with the homeowner to perform a final walkthrough. The customer was ecstatic!

New Sump Pump System, Wayland, MA

A homeowner in Wayland, Massachusetts was concerned about their radon level in the home. Just having a newborn baby, this family wanted to take all the measures to ensure their home was safe. They trusted Erickson Foundation Solutions to ensure the safety of their home.

Our Design Specialist, Mark Proctor, visited the home to conduct a free home inspection. Upon inspection, Mark noticed that the existing sump pump in the home had stopped working and was leaking water. This created concern for mold growth, as well as potential basement flooding. Learning this new information, the homeowners decided to prioritize waterproofing the basement. Mark recommended installing our TripleSafe sump pump system. This system works better than a single sump pump due to the three high quality pumps all in one system. This system sits in a basin and pumps out all the water that comes into it. The first pump disposes of water at a normal rate of 1/3 horsepower. A second pump is activated at 1/2 horsepower in situations where heavy rains or melting occurs. Lastly, a third battery backup pump operates in the event of an emergency such as a power outage.

With this updated and upgraded sump pump system, this family can have peace of mind that their basement will be safe and dry. A great home starts with a strong foundation!
