After living in her home for about a year, Margo learned that several nearby homes had tested with elevated radon levels. At a neighbor’s recommendation, she contacted Triangle Radon Defense for professional testing. Using a certified Continuous Radon Monitor (CRM), we confirmed radon levels above the EPA action level.

Our team designed and installed a customized radon mitigation system to effectively reduce radon levels, improving indoor air quality and giving Margo long-term peace of mind.

After encapsulating his crawlspace, Seth discovered that radon levels in his Rolesville home had increased above the EPA’s recommended limit - a potential side effect of a sealed enclosure. Our team reviewed several mitigation options with Seth, focusing on improving air quality while accommodating his crawlspace layout.

Because the crawlspace includes a large concrete slab used as a workspace, Seth chose a RadonWell system, which allows the radon mitigation system to effectively draw gases from both the crawlspace and beneath the slab. Installed several feet underground, the RadonWell improves system performance by capturing radon at a lower level.

The result is a safer, healthier environment for Seth to live and work in.

Andrew reached out to us when his 2 year old radon mitigation system needed repair. During our inspection, we found the system was using a standard manometer outdoors, which is not designed to withstand weather exposure. This is a common issue with exterior radon systems.

We repaired the system by sealing an open hole caused by deteriorated caulk and upgraded the monitoring device to an Obar gauge/alarm, which is specifically designed for outdoor use. This upgrade provides a more durable and reliable way to confirm proper system operation.

The system is now fully sealed, weather-resistant, and performing as intended; giving Andrew peace of mind that his home is protected from elevated radon levels.
