This basement had water problems for many years without anyone addressing them. As you can see in the photo the walls are dirty and crumbling in some places and the floor has muddy standing water. At this point, our crew had already started digging to install our WaterGuard drain system along the basement wall. It drains the water down to a sump pump to be pumped out and away from the home. We also installed our BrightWall paneling system that makes the basement so much brighter and is easy to wipe off the walls. Always leaving a clean and fresh feeling in the basement.
John's Waterproofing Company also deals with a lot of mushy, wet, flooded yards. This homeowner called us out to help take care of the water in her yard, this water was flowing in and building up under her deck causing it to also drain into her crawlspace! Our team came out and dug a trench drain around the home. We then put piping and rocks in the trench and use gravity to direct the water out of the yard, effectively preventing this home from being a lakefront property.
This daylight basement was always leaking water, especially at the door due to no drainage. Our crew installed a TrenchDrain in front of the basement door so that the water can never reach inside the basement. It is made of reinforced plastic so that it will never crack or dent. The trench drain is easy to clean out so that you don't have to worry about clogged drains. The homeowner likes how clean it looked and flush with the pavement and can keep up with the amount of rain that is present!
The homeowners had a water issue in their basement. Most of the water was coming from their exterior entryway which had a sloped entrance to double doors. The basement was frequently used so they wanted to make sure it was waterproofed. We did a full drainage system inside and also added in a TrenchDrain to the entryway to ensure the main water issue would be diverted before it got inside the home.
These posts in the crawlspace were full of moisture, causing them to weaken from wood rot and not hold the house up properly. That is where we came in with our Smartjack product and replaced the posts. Now they are stable and strong and have no risk of rotting out from moisture.
