This homeowner in East Granby, CT called us hoping that we would be able to help him. He initially called because he had failing fiberglass insulation. He needed his insulation replaced. When our Home Comfort Specialist came out to the home, he was able to offer solutions for the homeowner.
We were able to help this customer! We were able to replace the attic insulation with TruSoft™ cellulose insulation. We started by removing the old blown-in insulation using a large vacuum. We then went in and air-sealed around all of the points where air leaks up from the home to the attic. We did this using our Zypfoam™ spray foam. Once the atitc is air sealed, we used a long hose to blow in TruSoft™ cellulose insulation. TruSoft™ is amazing -- it does not burn, get moldy, or attract pests. The blown-in insulation fills all gaps and oddly shaped voids. The homeowner now can enjoy lower energy bills and brand new insulation!
This homeowner in West Hartford, CT called us hoping that she would be able to get her attic insulated. She had had issues with other companies giving her unrealistic estimates or refusing to fully evaluate or even touch the home. When our Home Comfort Specialist came to the home, he noted that there were multiple attic and kneewall spaces that needed to be insulated.
We provided multiple services for this homeowner. One of them was replacing the insulation on the floor of the attic.
We started by removing the old, inefficient fiberglass insulation. This was bagged and disposed of. We then removed any loose insulation that had gotten knocked off, as well as as much debris as we could.
We then went through the attic, sealing each gap with Zypfoam™, our one part expanding spray foam. This seals all the cracks and gaps that had this homeowner losing a LOT of air that they paid to heat. After that, we went in and used a large insulation blower to install the TruSoft™ cellulose insulation in the attic. This insulation is blown into the home through a large hose. The blown-in insulation fills all the odd spaces and voids evenly and provides a good insulation value.
Now, this homeowner will have a comfortable home for years to come!
This homeowner in West Suffield, CT had a problem with her cold and moist basement. One of our trained building scientists noticed she didn't have a basement door suitable to stop the outside elements from coming into her home. Our team got to work ripping out the old framing. After that was done we installed new pressure treated wood so the framing would not rot. once that was done we installed the new steel insulated door, and air sealed the gaps for an air tight seal. Now the basement will stay dryer and warmer for longer.
Our Team insulated this Knee Wall space and made the home more comfortable all year round. Also allows the homeowner to spend less on fuel and energy.
