This homeowner in Bloomfield, CT called us hoping that we would be able to help him with his attic insulation. He wanted to air seal and re-insulate his attic, removing the old fiberglass insulation. He had high energy costs year round, as well as mold in his attic. He also had an ice damming problem. He also wanted to have a walkway and a larger storage area if possible, as he stored a lot of precious items in the attic.
We were able to help this customer! We were able to replace the attic insulation with TruSoft™ cellulose insulation. We started by removing the old blown-in insulation using a large vacuum. We then went in and air-sealed around all of the points where air leaks up from the home to the attic. We did this using our Zypfoam™ spray foam. Once the atitc is air sealed, we used a long hose to blow in TruSoft™ cellulose insulation. TruSoft™ is amazing -- it does not burn, get moldy, or attract pests. The blown-in insulation fills all gaps and oddly shaped voids. The homeowner is now much more comfortable in his home!
This homeowner in Florence, MA called us hoping that we would be able to help with her attic. She had recently purchased the home, which had vermiculite insulation. This was removed due to the fact that it had asbestos in it.
We were able to help this customer! As there was no insulation when we began working in the attic due to the removal of vermiculite that had taken place, we were able to immediately begin air sealing, making sure that all cracks and crevices were sealed. We used Zypfoam™ one part spray foam to air seal. We then used a long hose attached to a machine that blows our TruSoft™ cellulose insulation into the attic. TruSoft™ cellulose is able to fill all gaps and odd-shaped voids, as it is blown in insulation.
Now, this homeowner is able to enjoy her new home!
This homeowner in Newington, CT called us out to their home to remove and replace the insulation in their attic. Their attic was full of old, nasty, fiberglass insulation. Pictured is a knee-wall space before and after. We sent our production team out to help these homeowners. First, we removed all of the old fiberglass insulation in the brown paper bag- looking material as pictured. We make sure to vacuum up and any all left over insulation or debris. Now, we install SilverGlo foam insulation board between the ceiling joist bays. On the outside, we air seal with one part spray foam. We also install SilverGlo under the rafters. Thanks to Dr. Energy Saver by Eco Energy Solutions, this space now has a radiant barrier, is fully insulated and air sealed.
We received a call from a homeowner in Feeding Hills, MA who was concerned about attic leaks, inefficient fiberglass insulation and a leaky vent. We sent our building science specialist out to evaluate the home.
Our solution included a transformation that included sealing the attic with blown cellulose insulation and lining SilverGlo foam board against the ceiling walls. We created a barrier in the center for extra storage space too.
Thanks to Dr. Energy Saver by ECO Energy Solutions, LLC, the homeowner was very happy with the work and now lives comfortably in the home.
This home owner in Feeding Hills, MA called us to his home to see if we could help reduce the amount of water that was coming into his basement. When our building science specialist was on his inspection of the basement, he noticed that all the water was coming in from the bilco door to the outside. To make things worse, he did not have a steel insulated door to protect his home!
So, to fix this issue we first caulked the bilco door so no water could get in from that way, Then we installed our steel insulated basement door. Once we complete this door project the water will not be able to come into the basement and effect the home.
Now that Dr Energy Saver by Eco Energy Solutions has came and completed this project, this home owner will not have to worry about water in his basement any more!
