Energy Saving Attic Insulation in Deerfield, MA

This homeowner in Deerfield, MA had been living with ineffective insulation and finally reached us when she realized it was not doing as good of a job insulating the home as it could have been.

We removed the old, soiled insulation and now with a fresh clean slate, we can go in and seal any air leaks that were previously buried under the batts of insulation, which did nothing to stop the the convective loop of heated air from inside the home. We then blew in 20 inches of our TruSoft cellulose, which over the following days settles down to 17 inches, or R70.

Thanks to Dr. Energy Saver by Eco Energy Solutions, this home will be far easier to heat and keep comfortable this winter.

Air Sealing, Insulation, and Storage Area in South Deerfield, MA

This homeowner in South Deerfield, MA called us out to their home for a Home Energy Evaluation. This home had some old, inefficient fiberglass without air any sealing in their attic. This allows conditioned or heated air that is paid for to escape the home.

We first removed all of the old, fiberglass insulation and properly disposed of the materials. We air seal all top plates, end plated, and any areas where air can escape from the home into the attic and be lost with foam. This homeowner wanted to be able to still have a storage area so we built them an insulated catwalk space for them. Now, blow our TruSoft Cellulose insulation into the attic. Cellulose will fill in any odd-shaped voids and gaps. Now, thanks to Fogarty's Home Services, this home will have more even temperatures, and is more energy efficient!

Installing Blown-In Insulation in South Deerfield, MA

This homeowner in South Deerfield, MA called us looking to remove and replace his old insulation. The insulation was low quality, and the homeowner was hoping that new blown-in insulation would help make his home more comfortable.

Our team started with removing the old blown-in insulation. The loose insulation was vacuumed out into giant filter bags with a very long hose. We then air sealed the entire attic using our ZypFoam treatment, and insulated the chimney and scuttle cover. We also installed baffles to ensure proper ventilation.

Once the entire attic was clean and sealed, it was time to install our own TruSoft™ cellulose insulation. Luckily for the homeowner, blown in insulation fills all gaps and odd shaped voids. Their home will stay comfortable for years to come!

Making a Home Warmer in Holyoke, MA

This customer in Holyoke, MA called us out because of a concern they were having in their home. Their concern was that they could not keep their home or family room warm in the winter. This was caused by a lack of proper insulation in the attic of the home. Without proper insulation air can leak into your attic and out of your home, making it difficult and costly to keep a home warm.

To fix this, we use our SuperPlatform treatment. First we need to remove the existing insulation.  Our installers remove all of the old insulation, bag it up, and properly dispose of the materials. Since this home contains an HVAC system in their attic we have make sure there is a proper walkway, or catwalk in the attic. This makes it so that service can be done correctly and safely in a space where there are mechanics.  Next, we lay our 4" SilverGlo foam board across the wooded walkway. This will increase the insulation value by 24%. We want to make sure that none of the blown in insulation we are installing will get on to our new walkway. Next, we have to install plywood over the foam board and held in place by long screws and washers. Following this step, we dense pack TruSoft cellulose insulation into any space beneath the catwalk that is not filled. Thanks to Dr. Energy Saver by Eco Energy Solutions, this customer is warmer and ecstatic with the temperature in their home!

Installing a Sump Pump and a SaniDry Sedona in Holyoke, MA

This basement had a problem with flooding so we installed an open sump pump and a SaniDry Sedona. These pair up to create low relative humidity, stop mold from growing, and most importantly help in case of a flood.
