Tim G. from Madisonville called knew there was water in his crawl space but always ignored it. The water especially gathered around the perimeter of the crawl space and was always puddled. Along with the water came mold. Tim knew the air he was breathing wasn't healthy so he decided to give us a call, and we were so glad he did.

Our design specialist Bob Roberts came out to do a free inspection and decided that Tim's crawl space would need mold remediation, a new sump pump, and CleanSpace installed. Our crew first started with remediating all of the mold growing in the crawl space. The SmartSump will be an exit line for the water that gets into the crawl space. The CleanSpace encapsulation product is a 20mm white thick plastic lining that entirely seals off the crawl space from the harsh elements below. It keeps mold and moisture from growing on it as well and especially helps in hot summer months.

Drywall in a basement can pose a serious threat when installed because it's made of organic materials. Concrete is a porous material, so when you have concrete walls, moisture can seep through and on to the drywall. This can cause the drywall to distort and warp, and even worse, can cause mold to grow. 

Our Design Specialist, Bob Roberts, worked with these homeowners in Mortons Gap, KY, to design a system to stop water intrusion in their basement. After installing the waterproofing system, Healthy Spaces installed our Total Basement Finishing products to ensure that their investment will withstand any water damage.

Anita M. in Spottsville, KY was frustrated and tired of dealing with the standing water in her basement. Over time, the problem had only gotten worse, and she knew it was time to get in contact with a waterproofing professional. After the inspection, one of our production crews came out and installed a new TripleSafe sump pump to replace the one that wasn't working. Ron S, from Elberfeld, IN was having 2 main problems with his basement: water and mold. As these are common problems, he knew they don't create a healthy environment to live in. Since water always finds the path of least resistance, it would intrude during rains through the cracks in the basement walls. With the water often sitting in the basement, it leads to a mold issue. The mold was growing on organic material, such as wood. Ron knew that he should call someone to come take a look before the problem got worse. 

System Design Specialist, Chris Russell, inspected Ron's basement and noticed the standing water and mold growth as well. After the inspection, they sat down and Chris provided an estimate for the work, and Ron was ready to move forward to get his basement back to health. For starters, a mold remediation treatment was done through the basement to get rid of the mold. A WaterGuard system was installed to run any intruding water straight to the new TripleSafe sump pump. The water would then run outside from the discharge lines of the sump pump. A CleanSpace vapor is a heavy, durable, plastic liner that provides a vapor barrier while also draining water behind it and dramatically brightens the basement. 

These homeowners in Newburgh, IN, were experiencing a lot of water in their basement whenever it would rain.
