3-Point System Installation and Sump Replacement

With radon levels testing over 30 pCi/L, this home required a three-point mitigation system to ensure proper pressure balance and effective radon reduction. Installation is scheduled with extraction points set near the airconditioning AC unit on the side of the home. During the project, our team will also replace the sump basin and install a new discharge line to improve drainage performance and system efficiency. These combined upgrades will help deliver long-term protection and healthier indoor air quality.

Radon Mitigation & Air Quality Boost for a Country Home

With radon levels averaging 12 pCi/L, these homeowners scheduled a two-point extraction system install on August 13th. The system will run from the utility room out the back of the home, with coring through concrete if needed. They also chose to improve indoor air quality with an Aspen air purifier in the kitchen, a Sedona dehumidifier tied into the utility room drain, and a BreatheEZ Air Cleaner; planned to integrate after their HVAC upgrade this fall. This project required a 4-point radon mitigation system to address four separate chambers within the home. Our team designed a straightforward layout with clean branch lines to each extraction point, ensuring effective coverage throughout the basement. The system exits on the same side of the home as the woodshop blower motor for an efficient setup. The homeowner will be handling the electrical work, so we’ll stop the wire outside and walk him through the final connections. With clear planning and collaboration, this system will provide strong protection against radon exposure.
