Radon Mitigation - New Sharon, IA

This was more complex than we thought it would be as we are looking to extract out of the utility room. Homeowner is finishing home and will like to run the PVC line along the listing ductwork and out through the rim joist and virtually how the PVC in the Sill plate. The team took some pictures and mark them up and read to indicate where he was thinking about running the pvc. He told me that he would have that existing pools cord and I told him that there was a slope that was needed and he said he would take that into account. The homeowner is a very DIY individual and has done a lot of good work on his home. He is going to core through his roof is sealed that up himself as he has done work on barns in the past and told us that it would be fine to just run the PVC up through and he would take it from there. This is because he has a metal roof. The third part of this is that the sump is in a finished area in the basement he will be lining it and throwing carpet over the top so we will need to seal up the sump with plexiglass instead of a dome lid so that he can finish over it. He is also left the discharge in the wall open to see if we needed to do anything with this. Homeowner said he would be available and present during the install, he's a super nice guy but wants to make sure that we're running it where we need to that way he can hide it and frame it out. He got the outcome he wanted.

Radon Mitigation Install for New Fellowship Parsonage in New Sharon, Iowa

This client was really nice and accommodating. He is straightforward and wanted only a simple system that would fit the budget. They tested and returned with levels of 7. Pretty worried for all people who stay indoors, he managed to decide and get a radon mitigation system. He did explain to us that despite the budget, it will be an investment. The team did offer payment plans and he said from our price point he can manage. It was simple installation from the closet going to the backside of the home. Everything went well and mentioned he would recommend to his good friends!

This was a simple family who really taught about getting their own radon mitigation system due to some budget cuts. They were really happy when we advised them that financing was an option. They took a 12-month plan and went all out as they also got a BEZ filter for better protection.

This will be a 2-point system and two sump pits will need to be sealed up. They are both located in the utility portion of the storage area. The team will need to core through one of the walls to create an additional instruction point and encapsulation and use one of the other sump pits for an extraction point. Rusty from the team was surprised when he walked into this home and saw the size of the crawl space. There is a small storage room with paint in it and pegboard that can be taken down to access the very large crawl space. It is almost broken down into three separate areas that have access to each one of them. The customer was also looking to have the far side of the home insulated. It's the crawl space that drops down a little bit further because they seem to not be able to carry all that much heat in the area. I didn't crawl around too much further in there but could be a good opportunity to add more insulation if it was sought to be fit. The customer was looking to have the external extraction point come out of the corner of their home and was back and forth between the pond side of the house or around the corner with the bushes. The installation was quick and easy!

This was a tough account and then a thousand questions for me that I needed to answer. No harm no foul but they are very detailed individuals and it was a fight too and the sale because the homeowner his wife did not like the fact that there was only a three-day cancellation policy if they changed their mind. You know there they decided to do something and I think they're on the same page at this point. If you go down into the basement there is a small storage area to the left hand side and in that corner the homeowner would like an extraction point. They would like it run out through the ceiling through an existing dryer vent. He will be cutting an 8x8 square out of their drywall so that we will be able to run our pvc. Being at the home has right on levels around 15 to 16. And he wanted to run the second extraction point on the same well that has a television. He's not all that concerned with Aesthetics because I don't believe that they spend a lot of time downstairs. You can touch base with me if you have any questions regarding this as I believe the homeowner will be present and most likely interested in the work that you're doing.
