Radon Mitigation - Wayland, IA

This is a single point system in the basement that is fairly open and going out the back side of the home. It will need to go out through the rim joist on whatever looks best on the backside of the home. Carey - the Project Specialist was not able to get a photo of the back to two in the appointment was so it will be up to the client's judgment where it looks best. The team can make it work with her preference anyway due to the allowance in the room where the radon mitigation system will be set. There's no sump it downstairs so we can place it wherever for an extraction point. It was an easy install as the client was cooperative!

The client is a physical therapist and likes the outdoors. He has an unfinished basement with two different crawlspaces. He has access to one through a window in the basement and the other has an opening into the second crawlspace. They're about 3 feet in height and the walls have spray foam insulation on them. It was not much of a challenge but there was some work done for the first extraction point to begin with. The client was really kind in helping clear out the debris in the crawlspaces after installation. He was really happy with how the system turned out.

This is a single point system that will be going out in the corner of the house facing the neighbor. There are also some cracks in the basement in which the homeowner said that he would be filling in. There is a fairly large crack over towards that exterior basement door at troubles into the little music room that they created. Guarantee rate on levels. His contract shows and he agreed with me that he understood that this was okay and understood that it was a place right now and could come into His home. There are three open holes for plumbing that are Old Clay tiles that need to be sealed up. One looks like a toilet might have gone on it the second one is a open hole and third one is under the carpet and the little band area. Homeowner agreed that the team will be sealing it up with plexiglass. Everything went well as expected!

This client was a close friend of our techs but no special treatment here! We did check their levels first and advised the ideal system for their home. Nathan's parents would be moving with him soon. He wants to make sure his home is overall protected from radon exposure. This home has an interior system that was going to exit through the peak of the roof in the garage. Utility room is only sharing a wall with the garage but they have a metal roof. We were really careful as we still don't want to destroy the aesthetic of the home. This needed to be a 2-point system to begin with as the team was informed that their levels returned around 20s. Pretty high.  Originally designed 1 point prior to hearing that and adjustments have already been made.

It all started when our team left an Eco blue with Nathan as their parents down the road were looking into putting a system in depending on numbers. Nathan is a cool guy and Rusty knows through a close mutual friend. This home has an interior system that was going to exit through the peak of the roof in the garage. Utility room is only sharing a wall with the garage but they have a metal roof. Exit out into the garage and try and find an exit point that doesn't look funky through the front of the home. Nathan is also after looks, so the team needs to be careful! Their levels returned below 20's. The team checked once more and Rusty realized that the home DOES NEED to be a two point system. Originally designed 1 point prior to hearing that and adjustments have already been made. The homeowners don't really care where we put the two points as long as they aren't really in the way of walking around in room.
