Lee G.’s home in Standish, Maine had water testing that revealed radon in water at 9,315 pCi/L, a level high enough to raise concerns about radon entering the home through the water supply. While many other water quality parameters were within acceptable ranges, the radon level in the well water required treatment to ensure the home’s air and water remained safe.

After:

To address the issue, we installed an Airwell radon-in-water mitigation system designed to remove radon gas from the water before it enters the home’s plumbing system. The system was installed with the necessary piping and configured to safely vent the radon gas outside.

The finished setup was clean, organized, and built to provide reliable radon reduction from the water supply. With the Airwell system in place, the home now has a long-term solution for treating radon in well water.

We installed a Premier Axis Arsenic System (7 GPM, 1 CF Lead/Lag configuration with monitoring) along with a 4.5" x 20" sediment pre-filter to protect the system and improve overall filtration performance. Additional water quality testing with radon-in-water testing was also completed to ensure the entire water profile was evaluated for safety.

The new treatment setup was installed cleanly and configured to effectively remove arsenic while maintaining strong water flow for the home.

The result was a reliable, professionally installed filtration system that provided safe drinking water and long-term protection for the household.
