One System Solution for Uranium and Hardness in Casco, ME

Joel G. in Casco, Maine wanted to improve the quality of his well water while simplifying an older treatment setup. Testing revealed concerns with uranium and hardness, and the existing equipment had reached the point where replacement made more sense than continued maintenance.

After reviewing the water conditions, we removed the old equipment and installed a new 10" x 54" Evolve mixed-bed treatment system configured with anion resin and calcite media. This design helps address uranium concerns while also improving overall water quality and balancing conditions throughout the home. The project also included a 4" x 20" sediment filter to protect the system from particulate matter and a new brine tank to support proper operation and regeneration.

The installation was straightforward and efficient, allowing the old equipment to be removed and replaced with a cleaner, more modern solution designed specifically for the home's water chemistry.

Now Joel has an updated water treatment system designed to improve water quality, reduce maintenance concerns, and provide long-term protection for his home's water supply. Another Maine homeowner can enjoy greater confidence in the water coming from every tap.

From Old Equipment to Cleaner, Balanced Water in Windham, ME

Corrine S. in Windham, Maine already had an older water softener in place, but it was no longer addressing the full range of water quality issues in the home. Testing showed elevated iron levels, which were contributing to rust staining, along with a low pH of 6.51, meaning the water was slightly acidic and potentially harder on plumbing fixtures over time.

After reviewing the results and discussing long-term goals, we replaced the outdated system with a new 10" x 54" Evolve CR-100 system with Vortech tank and sweat jacket, along with a 4.5" x 20" sediment filter cartridge kit for additional filtration and protection.

The upgraded system was designed not only to soften the water, but also to raise the pH into a healthier range and reduce iron-related staining and discoloration throughout the home. Corrine also received a lifetime warranty service contract, giving her long-term support and peace of mind moving forward.

Now the home has cleaner, better-balanced water with modern equipment designed to improve water quality, reduce rust issues, and help protect plumbing and fixtures for years to come.

Before & After - Arsenic Water Treatment Installation | Carrabassett Valley, Maine

Before:

David V.’s home in Carrabassett Valley, Maine had a water test that revealed arsenic levels of 0.0126 mg/L, which is above the EPA maximum contaminant level of 0.010 mg/L for drinking water. While many other parameters in the water test looked good, the arsenic reading meant the water required treatment to make it safe for long-term household use.

After:
We installed a 1.5 CF Impression Plus metered salt unit along with a dedicated arsenic treatment setup using SBG2-HP mineral anion resin and CR100 zeolite media. A sediment filter was also installed to help protect the system and improve overall performance.

The system was configured to efficiently remove arsenic while maintaining consistent water quality throughout the home. The finished installation was clean, organized, and built to deliver reliable long-term filtration.

Another Carrabassett Valley home now has safer, professionally treated water and peace of mind moving forward.
