This was a nice client with big dreams for her family. She just wanted everyone to be healthy overall and that's the main reason she got a radon mitigation system. She recently purchased this home without one, so she contacted Radon Defense Midwest and due to the helpful reviews and her friend in town who used us, she decided ahead. She had a 3-chamber home with an old garage along with a living room that is under renovation. She was all about numbers and pursuing a discount but at the end she wrote a check for a full price! She wanted her levels to go down immediately so everything was set for her in the end.
This was a unique home along with a lovely couple. They came from Missouri wanting the best radon mitigation experts and came across our Radon Defense Midwest website. They loved and seen our work with other testimonials from other customers. When we inspected the couple's home, one thing the team noticed is there is a crawlspace that wraps around the basement. The team had some difficulties looking for good extraction points but they were able to find one and guaranteed it will be sealed perfectly. Everything went well and they were really happy!
The client wanted to add an ERV. Her detector is reading at 4 in her bedroom and out in kitchen. We did work last year with crawlspaces and radon fans on this home. Sounds like her bedroom is slab on grade but duct vents of ERV accordingly. They plan to add an outlet in basement for the ERV to function. They have an elderly man living in house with Alzheimer's who can get excited with strangers there so the team planned accordingly with care.
Amazing couple had just purchased their dream home in the Midwest and were surprised to find high radon levels during their home inspection. Radon Defense Midwest came to their rescue, providing a quick and effective mitigation solution, which allowed them to move in with peace of mind -- minus the regulation worries too!
Tony and his wife Chantel are a very nice couple in their 30s with two young kids. Tony works for Wells Fargo and Chantel is a hair stylist. Tony likes football, hunting, and bourbon. They have lived in this house for 7 years and we did work for a neighbor that suggested they test for radon. Their levels were extremely high, 56 avg with a CRM. Modular house on a block foundation, 45'x25' used solely for storage with access from steps in the garage. No floor joists so exiting from rim joist is not possible. Sump pit with exterior drain tile from what I could tell with the piece of PVC pipe entering. I wasn't able to look inside as it sat deeper in the pit. One extraction point here, one next to plumbing stack, one near plumbing rough in. Original plan was to route these three points to a fan on side of house and core through block wall. Tony said they may do an addition on the side of the house later so we discussed having both fans on the back of the house. He was really happy how it turned out.
