The radon levels were over 11 in this newly constructed home at Avoca, IA. The homeowners were fully aware that it's becoming mandatory for real estate to have a radon mitigation system installed at home. The team designed a point by stack on the south side of the house. It was installed in the future storage room as this was preferred by the homeowner initially. It was an easy installation due to the basement remodel, it's wide open for the team to access. No damage and no clean-ups. Client was really happy how it turned out!
It was a small home that had a wide utility room that functions as their laundry and basement. The homeowner spends most of his time in that specific room since all household chores go around in that process. They wanted to have some sort of protection from harmful radon gas as their area is known to have high levels. We arranged a free estimate for him and he booked right away.
It started with an inaccessible crawlspace which became quite a burden for the team. Then, they came up with a work around and installed with a 1 sub slab extraction point. There were no issues at all. Client was happy how it turned out as they were planning this for a long time. They wanted to protect their home and family from the high radon exposure since they tested their home and came back with high radon levels.
Can you feel the holidays in the air? Well, it's not gonna be a happy one if there's radon. So this family made sure they are protected by getting their own system.
This was a friendly client with a huge fluffy dog that welcomes the team upon arrival at the home. She has done a DIY radon test which resulted to 10 pCi/L and wanted to check her options to have a simple system that could protect her from exposure. She is also concerned about the welfare of her furbaby. The team has discussed options for the client and the installation would start from the closet then up and out or go up into the main level closet moving outside. The client is very flexible with either options handed out to her.
