This young client is a serious farmer, sought our help for a radon remediation system in his parents' ranch-style home. Built in 2016, the basement, mostly finished, had a passive system in place, but client considered alternative options due to concerns about warranties and fan longevity. A 4'' PVC pipe was speculated to be installed for the location of the system. With radon levels at 11.5 after test, health worries arose for him and his family, prompting the installation of a 20x25 filter and UVC. Additional points near the water heater and an interior drain tile in the sump pit were noted. The client, initially reserved, he warmed up during the process and provided an amazing feedback that he was very happy how the team was hands-on.
This client had her home tested for radon and came out with high levels. She started to worry and wanted to mitigate as soon as possible. She was able to contact our team and placed a booking. We were able to explain how the installation process will go. The extraction points were in her storage room and kids' closet. It was a newly built home, so it was not really that hard. Installation went well!
This homeowner with a tight crawl space was concerned about radon levels since they are not able to reach in. Radon Defense Midwest was able to install a custom radon mitigation system in the crawl space, reducing radon levels to safe levels throughout the home.
This was a big old farm house and when the team saw the home's structure, it was indeed a challenge installation a radon mitigation system or ERV. As they will need to core through the brick exterior, they will have also need to cut some ceiling out in various locations to run ERV ducts over the HVAC and interior walls. This was fully explained to the customer and they definitely agreed. The team made sure no further breaking will be needed and it will not be damaging the home's aesthetic. We have done proper crawlspace encapsulation and ERV installation for his basement. The basement wasn't really livable but since his dogs mostly stay there, he wants to get them protected from any radon exposure. Everything went well!
This was a simple installation and the client found us through good reviews in Google. He wanted radon mitigation and duct cleaning on the spot along with paying for everything too. It was a 2-point system out the south wall west of the basement egress. The team ran the pipe outside the home to the west side where the radon fan will be located. The home was small and on a single level with good access to the crawlspace. Everything turned out fine and the client was really happy!
