The owner of an older home in Amesbury, Massachusetts, had noticed their brick foundation wall begin to settle a few years ago. After seeing the wall continue to settle, they decided to call EFS for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist recommended installing 3 Helical Piers to the brick foundation and then using a grade beam to cast over the piers so they could lift the wall up to its original position. 

A homeowner in Amesbury, Massachusetts, has lived in their home for 30 years and has done continuous updates and remodels in their home over the years. This year the homeowners wanted to redo the floors on the first floor of the home. The only issue is that the main floor has been sloping since they purchased the home 30 years ago. Before they install new flooring they would like to eliminate the sloping. 

They reached out to EFS for a free inspection of their home and our Design Specialist recommended installing 9 SmartJacks into the basement to lift and level the floor system to eliminate the slope. This will allow the homeowners to replace the floors on the main level of their home. 

When a homeowner in Amesbury, MA, noticed their shed sagging due to inadequate support from existing pilons, they turned to us. As you can see in the before photo, the challenge was clear. Our solution? We installed Helical Piers, as shown in the stunning after photo. These piers provided the necessary strength and stability, ensuring the homeowner's shed stands firm. Chris S. of Durham, NH was experiencing some foundational issues under their garage that caused the concrete ceiling to start to crumble. Chris called EFS to see if they could assist in fixing his garage. Design Specialist, Nate Erickson, came out to the property and inspected the garage to see what is causing the ceiling to start to crumble. Nate found that in a cellar under the garage there is a crack that is caused the foundation to weaken. The crack has weakened the foundation which has caused movement and cracked the ceiling. Nate proposed that the Erickson Crew install a galvanized sheet to cover the crumbling ceiling, then installed a couple of beams that will span the width of the garage to secure the ceiling. Then to finish it off install PolyLEVEL to stabilize and level the foundation. 

Crew Lead Scott Crandall and his team came to the home and installed the galvanized sheets on the ceiling and then installed a couple of I-beams across the width of the garage.

After the sheets and I-beams were installed, a second crew came to the home. The PolyLEVEL Crew led by Nick Melo came to the home and injected PolyLEVEL into the areas that were out of level. 

Chris was happy to see that his garage was structurally sound again.

A homeowner in Durham, New Hampshire had been experiencing sinking and uneven floors. With concern that the situation could worsen, they reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions for a permanent solution.

One of our Design Specialists came out to conduct a free inspection of the home. Upon completion of the inspection, our Design Specialist recommended installing SmartJacks. SmartJacks are similar to Lally columns, but are able to provide better support to the home, and are also adjustable. The SmartJacks are installed by inserting a galvanized steel plate into the foundation on top of a sturdy base of crushed stone. Then, the steel post is attached to the plate, and also connected to a supplemental support beam. The system is then cemented in place.

With the system in place, the proper support is given to the home. This levels out floors and eliminates the bouncy feeling in floorboards. This homeowner can now have peace of mind that his floors are permanently stabilized!
