Initially, this homeowner sought assistance from a different contractor to address their sinking home issues. However, the first company, upon starting the project, realized the complexities involved and abandoned the project, leaving the homeowner in a difficult situation. Understandably, the homeowner was hesitant to trust another contractor, having already faced disappointment.
After two years of patiently building trust and rapport with the client, they finally felt confident in our ability to complete the project. During this time, we provided consistent support, answering their questions, and alleviating their concerns.
Our process began by excavating the right side of the home's foundation. This involved digging down eighteen feet to reach the footing, creating space under it. We then utilized hydraulic rams to drive our Stabil-Loc push piers into bedrock or the appropriate strata. Once in place, we applied pressure upwards. This not only halted the home's sinking but also restored it to its original height, preventing future movement.
Moving to the front of the home, we had to first temporarily support the structure before removing the front porch and wall. Once safely supported, we excavated to the required depth. Here, we used pre-construction Stabil-Loc push piers to prevent the foundation from sinking, even without the weight of the structure. Afterward, we poured a new footing and wall, rebuilt the porch, and gently lowered the home.
With the exterior repairs complete, we turned our attention to reinforcing the interior foundation wall. CarbonArmor reinforcements were applied to prevent inward bowing as the exterior soil settled. To address the uneven floors caused by the sinking, we utilized our PolyLevel leveling system, ensuring a smooth, even surface.
To complete the project, we also renewed the sidewalk and graded the yard. Throughout the two-year journey and the project itself, the homeowner had numerous questions and concerns. However, upon project completion, they expressed their satisfaction and relief, knowing that their home was now secure and stable. Our work not only restored their peace of mind but also their confidence in their home's stability.
We turned this nasty crawlspace with structural problems into a clean and safe crawlspace with the SmartJack support system.
What started as a small foyer addition turned into a slow-moving structural problem the homeowners couldn’t ignore. Years ago, the foyer’s concrete foundation was poured after the rest of the home and without proper pinning, the two sections eventually separated. A crack opened across the front of the house. The 5' x 18' foyer drifted nearly an inch away. The floor began to sink. Every season made it worse. That’s when they called us.
To fix the problem the right way, we excavated around the perimeter and carefully dug beneath the footing to reach stable bearing soil. From there, we drove our Stabil‑Loc push pier segments all the way down to bedrock the only layer strong enough to permanently support the home.
Six piers. Each capped with a precision-engineered head assembly. And then the moment homeowners never forget: the lift. We brought the foyer back to near-perfect level within an eighth of an inch. Because of how our Stabil‑Loc system locks into bedrock, this home will never settle again.
Once the structure was secure, we backfilled the area, restored the landscape, and poured a brand‑new entry slab to finish the project cleanly. The foyer looked new. The home felt whole again. And the homeowners? Absolutely thrilled.

After purchasing their new home these homeowners noticed several issues that were occurring in their basement. More specifically water coming in through the wall-floor joints, humidity on the wall, and a subtle crack along their left basement wall. Because of these issues, they contacted Basement Systems of New York to see what could be done to take care of the issues at hand.
To address all the issues in their basement we installed several of our patented products. These products consisted of our WaterGuard waterproofing system around the perimeter of their basement, four CarbonArmor foundation stabilizing straps, five PowerBrace wall supports a TripleSafe sump pump system, and finally our SaniDry XP dehumidification system.
These five systems integrated into one will make sure that their basement stays dry, humidity stays out, but more importantly that their home does not fall over.
Over time our client's walkway started to deteriorate and shift due to the soil from being there for so long. Basement Systems of New York was called upon to return this walkway to its former glory, as well give their home more appeal. We were able to transform their walkway thanks to the help of PolyLevel.
