This homeowner called us when they had concerns about the standing water that was evident in their crawlspace. They were interested in a sump pump and new vapor barrier. After the inspection, some wood rot was pointed out, and we discussed encapsulation to protect their home. They were excited to get their home dry and healthy, protecting it in the long run!
This homeowner had fashioned a sump pump for their crawlspace from some online tutorials, however, it could not compete with the groundwater and clogged up, creating a muddy mess. To get them waterproofed we did a new SmartSump pump, burred perforated pipes to direct the water, a vapor barrier, three SmartJacks to support the home as needed, and some seismic retrofitting to add stability to the home.
This homeowner called us up wanting to hear about the options to seal up their crawlspace. We scheduled their free inspection and the design specialist did a thorough walk-through and sat down to talk about the benefits of encapsulation. They were excited for the aspects that are used for this and how science backs up how it works, and they moved forward to have a dry and healthy crawlspace.
This homes crawlspace had a lot of water. The homeowner knew they needed to have something done about their crawlspace because the water would cause issues. They had old fiberglass present, a simple 6 Mil vapor barrier, and vapor barriers over the foundation walls. But none of this stopped the water from flooding this area. To address it they had us do a full dry-out and encapsulation. Now the space can be dry and healthy.
This home had a moisture issue which had caused the crawlspace to suffer. To address this issue a crawlspace encapsulation was installed.
