Radon Reduction in a Branford Split-Level
Before our visit, the home had no existing mitigation and was registering high radon levels. After assessing the layout, we installed a two-pipe system with careful consideration for aesthetics and airflow. The laundry room and closet were selected for internal access points, minimizing disruption. Despite thick shrubbery on the exterior, the final install was tidy and efficient—leaving the home safer and ready for long-term occupancy.
From Multi-Foundation Risk to Radon-Free Living
Before: The home's complex basement configuration—with multiple foundation types, partially finished spaces, and limited routing options—made radon mitigation a unique challenge.
After: With two powerful systems expertly installed—one routed discreetly through the dumbwaiter closet near the furnace and another behind the chimney—we achieved a clean, efficient setup while maintaining the integrity of the living space.

Before
The home tested at approximately 6.0 pCi/L and did not have an active radon mitigation system in place to reduce radon levels.

A radon mitigation system will be installed to actively reduce radon levels and help create a healthier indoor environment throughout the home.
Five-Pipe Radon Mitigation System Installed in Northford Home
Before
The home had a radon level of 8.6 pCi/L with multiple foundation areas, including crawl spaces, and no system in place to address all sections.
After
A five-pipe radon mitigation system was installed, covering the crawl spaces and main foundation areas, with exterior venting routed to the back of the home and slab areas properly sealed.

Before:
This home had no radon mitigation in place despite elevated levels. Its cement foundation and complex layout (with two additions) required a custom approach. A sealed sump pump was present but not previously covered.
After:
We installed a two-pipe mitigation system, avoided conflicts with the rear corner water line, and covered the square sump pump. The system now runs neatly out the left side of the house from the center, effectively reducing radon while preparing the home for long-term safety.
