This client started working from home and would spend most of his time indoors. He wanted to make sure he and his whole family is protected from radon exposure. He managed to book us with his desired free time and prepared his home for the installation. Everything went well!
This home is quite unique as the crawlspace had a walk-in area along with an old sump that needs sealing. The team did not have difficulty with the installation as the pit was also good as a second extraction point. Everything went well with the requests of the client.
This was a real estate transaction as the homeowner had already sold the home and finished building her new one. The new owner requested the fact that the home should be coming with a radon mitigation system installed. They booked with Iowa Radon Defense for the installation and the real estate agent approved it right away. Everything was at the buyer's expense but as long as it's quality, they're okay with it.
This home had radon level results of 15 which is very high and need to mitigate on it. We explained to the homeowner before starting that his floor drain needs to be fixed and he agreed. That's where the interior tiles meet. We advised to remove old iron cover and sealed it with plexi upon installation. He was very happy with this decision of getting his own radon mitigation system for indoor air quality health.
This client is a nice woman in her 60s with a southern accent. She has some difficulty hearing so she needed some assistance with how this installation would go through. The basement is about half finished with a wood shop and a storage room. The team installed in the two sump pits with interior drain tile along with a custom Breathe EZ 25x30x1. Levels of 10 found and concerned with health risk since she is elderly. The client also spends more time in the basement because she has a sewing room there. The installation was smooth!
