This project required multiple visits and careful planning, as the homeowners were highly particular about both aesthetics and performance. The final solution included two custom radon mitigation systems. The first system involved encapsulating a crawlspace and running a suction point through the rim joist into a sump on the opposite wall. Routing was planned carefully to preserve the home's appearance, with the discharge venting neatly over the eave. The second system was installed on the opposite side of the house after detailed discussions around pipe placement and existing waterproofing. Additional sealing was done around the basement perimeter, using grey caulking as requested. Despite the home's complex layout, the final system was designed to protect both the home's health and its visual appeal.
Andrew and John did a great job installing this mitigation system for another concerned customer
John and Andrew were able to help another concerned customer get their radon levels down with this completed install
In order to guarantee radon levels under 4.0 pCi/L we need to seal any exposed dirt in the home, like in an crawlspace. We have encapsulated this crawlspace with 20 mil plastic to prevent anything from coming through.
This customer had no idea their home was at risk—until they decided to get a radon test out of curiosity. The results revealed dangerously high radon levels, putting their family’s health at risk. Wasting no time, they contacted our team for a professional radon mitigation system. We successfully reduced the radon levels, making their home safe and breathable once again. Now, the Thompsons have peace of mind, knowing their loved ones are protected from this silent, cancer-causing gas. Their story is proof that testing for radon can save lives.
