The owners of this home, built in the 1800's, noticed that their foundation was starting to fail and it seemed to be getting worse. A section of the original stone foundation had previously been replaced with blocks but they were settling and deteriorating. After searching the internet they found Woodford Brothers and gave us a call. Our Customer Care department scheduled a free estimate. Our expert Design Specialist performed a thorough inspection to determine the best way to resolve the problem. In circumstances when the wall is not in a condition to be lifted, we have experienced crews that can remove and replace foundations when needed. In order to help bring peace of mind to the homeowners, we excavated the foundation, removed the old failing blocks and poured a brand new footer. We then created a new section of block wall tied to the original foundation. The final result is a new foundation wall that the home owners can rely on to properly support their home. 

The good people at the 7th Day Adventist Church in Newark, NY had a foundation problem. Their church was old but had the character they loved. Katherine has been living in her Watkins Glen, NY home since 2012.  Since moving in she has noticed that the wooden beams supporting her home were causing sagging on the main floor and needed to be replaced.  To make sure the home is structurally sound and to fix the foundation before adding on an addition, Katherine decided to contact Woodford Bros. for a free estimate for the necessary repairs.  After an initial inspection, our Design Specialist determined that the SmartJack system would be the optimal solution to repair the sagging beams. 

The SmartJack system provides solid support for sagging or undersized beams, restoring stability and straightness to sagging floor joists in a crawl space.  Once installed, SmartJack support posts can correct problems such as sloping and overly springy floors, interior wall cracks, and out-of-level door frames.  By choosing to install the SmartJack system, Katherine is ensuring that her home's structural integrity is permanently secure.

Tim showed how we can fix foundation walls with our Shotlock system. First a rebar grid is constructed, framing out all windows and other obstructions. We then use a high pressure hose to spray the perfect mix of concrete into the grid. Once complete, the concrete is smoothed over and there is a beautiful new, reinforced, basement wall. Lue now has peace of mind that her home will last for many more years to come.
