Torn Old Vapor Barrier - Brothers, OR

This old vapor barrier had been installed by another company and was ready to be replaced. To give the waterproofing system a longer lifespan, the homeowners opted to upgrade to a CleanSpace Vapor Barrier and Crawlspace Specific Insulation.

La Pine, OR Cracked Walls in Crawl Space

We came out to this home that had no vapor barrier, cracks in the walls, water leaking in, and the insulation needed a serious update. They were spending hundreds of extra dollars a year in energy bills just trying to keep the home comfortable for them. That’s when we stepped in and did a CleanSpace encapsulation, crack repair, added drainage and a dehumidifier, and then coated the walls with closed cell spray foam insulation. Making this crawl space clean, dry, warm and energy efficient year-round.

Drafty and Cold Crawlspace in La Pine, OR

This homeowner was concerned by their high heating and cooling costs. They knew that their floorboards were very cold when the weather outside was chilly, and when they glanced into the crawlspace they found the space to have condensation and damp walls. They called up John's Waterproofing to hear about their options. We sent out a specialist who confirmed the condensation along the foundation walls, large drafts, and signs of critters. To solve the homes issues we suggested an encapsulation and when we were done the homeowners were thrilled with the transformation. The crawlspace was now bright and their bills were going down!

Crawl Space in Need of Transformation-Bend, OR

This crawl space was in bad shape, the homeowners wanted to upgrade the space and make it usable for storage. They called us up and we sent out one of system design specialists to perform a free inspection and estimate. After, they met to discuss the options for this home. To begin this project we remove the insulation and debris in the space. Since this crawl space did not have much water intrusion, we install our SmartDrain system, which will alert the homeowner of a possible plumbing leak with an audible alarm and will drain the water away into a drywell under the CleanSpace until the homeowner can fix the leak. Next we install our TerraBlock system which goes directly on the dirt floor of the crawl space. This creates a barrier between the home and the earth and will prevent moisture from making its way up through the floor. On top of the TerraBlock we install our CleanSpace system that goes all along the foundation walls and up to the rim joists. We make sure to cover all the vents as well to make sure no outside air enters the space. We then install our SaniDry Sedona to control the environment. This effective dehumidifier will eliminate damp, musty odors by drying and filtering the air as well as ensure the spaces stays at a healthy relative humidity. Lastly we install our foam insulation. This is sprayed all along the foundation walls, up to the rim joists ensuring an airtight seal.  With the white finish of the CleanSpace, it really brightens the space making it easy for the homeowners to see there is no debris, mold or rodents. This space is now a usable clean, healthy storage area and it is protected for years to come.

Insulation That Won't Mold - Bend, OR

This homes crawl space had mold growing in the old fiberglass and along the wooden beams. The homeowners had looked into mold treatment, but knew that even with the mold treated, without addressing the crawl space as a whole, mold was bound to come back. To ensure the space remained healthy, they would need to encapsulate. They called up John's Waterproofing and were ready to go. We switched out the fiberglass for a system using TerraBlock insulation along the dirt floors and Spray foam along the walls. We also installed a SaniDry dehumidifier to keep the air at a healthy humidity level where mold and mildew cannot grow.
